Sources of Funding

Community Action Agencies operate with very diverse and extensive sources of funding. For every dollar that a Community Action Agency receives in federal funding, the Agency receives eight dollars in matching funds from local, state, and/or private funding sources. Although constantly evolving, this Agency is supported by funds from the State of California Public Health Department, the Department of Community Services and Development, HUD, the State Department of Education, Mental Health Services Act Funds, FEMA, Department of energy, the Federal office of Community Services, First 5 of Merced County, the State Department of Housing and Community Development, private foundations, community groups, and individual donors.
