Summary Description
of CAA State Child Development Department
Child Development is a State funded program that provides services
for children ages 2 thru 5 years old whose families meet eligibility categories.
Following are the eligibility categories: Aid to Families with Dependent Children
(AFDC), Supplemental Security Income (SSI), State Supplemental Program (SSP),
Persons eligible for cash grant, and recipient of Protective Services for Children
determine or require child care services and have a written referral from CPS
for services in accordance with protective services plan.
Services
- Early Childhood Education (Children 2 thru 6 years old)
- English, Spanish
- Monday thru Friday 7 am to 6 pm
Child Development Program Profile:
- Approximately 171 children and families are served
- Parent training and education for understanding and involvement in their
child's development
- Parent education and involvement in local programs
- Servicing families with incomes at or below 84% of State median income at
enrollment
- Centers are wheel chair accessible
- Information and referral services are provided participating families
- Parents must have a child care and development need in one of the following
areas:
1) Is in an Education / Training Program
2) Is working
3) Is seeking employment
4)or is medically incapacitated
