Information Technology

Our MIS department is a crucial entity which helps to provide services for other departments to ensure speedy and confidential service to our community and clients.

Maintaining day to day information securely, they support Women, Infants, and Children (WIC), Weatherization/LiHEAP, Child Development, and Merced County Homeless Shelter. We at MCCAA strive to maintain confidentiality for clients when transmitting data electronically.

MIS Provides WIC with encrypted virtual tunnels back to our main office, which then sends the information to the state of California for client needs. If you are a client and you need access to do WIC classes online we provide that at several locations, contact your local WIC location for more information. Weatherization/LiHEAP has client information that is secured within our server farm.

Children are precious and we understand this, you never have to worry about your child’s information leaving our hands without proper authorization. Maintaining the computers the children play on keep them safe as well, being isolated from the internet is crucial for safety, as well as putting only games that are educational on the computers.

The Shelter contains a database of all individuals that come through the doors and is safe with us, we also provide internet access which all clients use to look for jobs online and post resumes.

If you have any questions regarding how we manage your personal information please feel free to contact us at anytime.
