THE PUBLIC IS INVITED TO ADDRESS agenda items and comment on items within the subject matter jurisdiction of the Board.
Individuals addressing the Board shall be limited to three minutes each with no more than fifteen minutes per topic. The Board will take no action at this time but may refer the issue for further consideration.

Letter written by CD/SPS Director, Rosanne Pitz, to Mr. Brian Barnett, Regional Manager, Fresno Regional Child Care Office, Fresno on April 30, 2010. Letter is the 9th monthly narrative regarding the Agency’s Child Development and State Preschool Centers.
D. EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE REPORT:
The Executive Committee met on Wednesday, May 5, 2010.
The next Executive Committee meeting will be on Wednesday, June 2, 2010.
E. BOARD ACTIONS (CONSENT CALENDAR) E-1/E-2
E-1 Approve and Authorize the CAB Board Chair to sign Contract #10F-4027, Am. 03, with the California State Department of Community Services and Development for the Agency’s Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) Contract for funding from January 1, 2010 through December 31, 2010 (no change); and, Amount of Contract: $423,114.00 (increase of $215,788.00)
E-2 The Merced County Community Action Board Approves and Authorizes that the Merced County Community Action Agency name can be used in any publications in support of the Children’s Bill of Rights for Merced County.
F. BOARD ACTIONS (REGULAR CALENDAR) F-1/F-2
F-1 Approve the submission of the FESG grant application for Canal Street Women’s Shelter, not to exceed $100,000.00 and authorize the CAB Board Chair to sign the authorizing resolution (attached), including all certifications. Should the grant be funded the Executive Director will sign the Standard Agreement and any subsequent amendments. The action requires a poll vote of the Board.
