Management Information Systems & Technology Support Group Vision “Every MCCAA member is
competent with computer and networking technology, and all To provide MCCAA programs with a high quality, accessible, integrated, secure and dependable management information and technology infrastructure system. Summary Description of Management Information Systems (MIS) / Tech Department The MCCAA MIS/ Technology Department is expected to update, maintain and continuously support the agency’s computer technology, software and networking infrastructure. The Department will also provide agency wide technical support and assistance to staff through a proactive help desk approach. The help desk trouble tickets will provide data for analysis to identify areas for Department continuous quality improvement in technology support for staff. The Department stays abreast of changes in technology and communications and provides assessments and recommendations for improving agency programs communications and information systems technologies. MCCAA MIS/ Technology The agency MIS / Technology Department started in late 2002 with a
technician located at the central office in MCCAA MIS/ Technology Services The MIS / Technology Department provide support activities for the MCCAA Divisions. The intent of the support groups services is to reduce agency duplication of documentation activities, increase staff productivity by adapting routine procedures and practices to Information and Technology systems, coordinate a common back office technology based staffing and support across all MCCAA program areas and operations. The support group’s principle service is providing comprehensive corporate MIS and Technology support to MCCAA operations. Quality assurance for this Support is continually monitored and managed by the MCCAA Executive Management. As of 2003 MIS / Technology services are limited to but not limited to doing inventory, mapping of the agency computer and networking technology, help desk assistance to Department Directors and staff technical assistance with computer problem solving, and maintenance. In 2003 MIS /Tech will also develop an internal agency email MCCAA ability and begin developing Local Area Networks for agency Departments. In 2007 MIS has continued the improvement of facilities by renovating the Atwater WIC clinic’s new location by installing, state of the art installation of low voltage network and phone wiring bring this 40 year old building up to code and supporting the new mission to serve WIC.
